Overview: The Institutional Equity and Inclusion Office at Oakton College seeks a motivated and detailoriented student employee to support the departments mission of fostering an inclusive and equitable campus community. This role is an excellent opportunity for students interested in gaining handson experience in diversity equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives while developing valuable professional skills.
Campus Location: Des Plaines
Length of Employment: One semester

Tasks Duties and Responsibilities (TDRs) and Learning Outcomes:
Draft Campus Communications (CM)
Assist in preparing emails newsletters and announcements related to special events programs and DEI initiatives.
Design Flyers and Marketing Materials (CM)
Use design tools to create visually appealing flyers and graphics for events and programs that promote diversity and inclusion.
Research Current and Emerging DEI Trends (CT EI)
Conduct research on relevant DEI topics to inform initiatives programming and policy recommendations.
Assist with Special Events and Initiatives (LD TC)
Provide logistical and administrative support for programs workshops and other DEIrelated events.
Weekly Reporting (CM)
Maintain accurate records of tasks completed event outcomes and other department activities through weekly reports.
