Instructional Designer I
Masters degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.
The mission of the Center for Online Innovation and Production (COIP) is to collaborate with UFs worldclass faculty in creating innovative engaging and relevant online courses that provide students with an exemplary learning experience. Built on innovation and collaboration this dynamic team includes passionate instructional designers graphic designers educational technologists and videographers who collaborate with faculty through all phases of the course design and production process. COIP produces exemplary courses for various university stakeholders including UF Online. COIP has the unique ability through carefully thoughtout processes and support systems to produce a high volume of highquality courses.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative education professional to join our team. This position has the opportunity to collaborate with faculty instructional designers graphic designers videographers and educational technologists through all phases of the production process. The position ensures courses convey a modern look are accessible designed with pedagogical strategies based on research and incorporate new technologies that enhance learning. The position also requires the ability to work independently and lead complex course builds and in doing so is responsible for mentoring and training junior staff as it relates to course production. Duties include:
Provide course maintenance support for existing UF Online courses with emphasis on the following:

Actively engage in course production for UF Online covering the following areas:

Background in online learning learning theories instructional design graphic/visual design computerbased training and an ability to effectively collaborate with members of the instructional design team. Flexibility and ability to adapt and work in a rapidly changing environment. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in writing and in person. Ability to problem solve.
Two days a week remote is an option after working in the department for 90 days and may require periodic travel between East Campus and main campus. Must be able to start within 4 weeks of accepting official letter of offer.
