Job Description
Seeking Aerospace TIG Welders for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Hebron KY.
This position offers full benefits including PTO Medical Dental and 401k!
Pay is between $18 $29 per hour (based on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Source measure and cut materials to specified dimensions
- Perform TIG welding operations using appropriate materials and techniques
- Inspect completed welds and parts to ensure compliance with specifications and tolerances
- Pass required welding certification tests
- Use conventional and precision measuring instruments
- Perform inprocess inspections and complete associated documentation
- Maintain and perform routine maintenance on welding and grinding equipment
- Grind and finish products using manual and power grinding tools
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of Vocational or Trade School Welding Program
- Strong practical and technical knowledge of TIG welding in aerospace applications
- Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings and blueprints
- Proficiency in basic math and mechanical principles
- Skilled in the use of measuring tools and instruments with high precision
- Capable of unit conversions (metric/imperial)
- General understanding of production workflows and shop operations
- Effective decisionmaking skills and attention to detail
- interaction with other team members in a shared workspace
