NLCP is a coed charter network serving approximately 600 students in grades 912. Our scholars the majority of whom are low income choose NLCP for its culturally responsive and rigorous academic model. Job Goal:
The Manager of Student Recruitment is responsible for developing and implementing an annual student recruitment strategy to meet enrollment goals. This role collaborates closely with school and network leadership to evaluate identify and address all aspects of student recruitment and enrollment. Reporting directly to the principal the ideal candidate will be resultsdriven possess strong project management and data tracking skills and work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required (major in Public Administration Business Administration Marketing Education or Communications)
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in recruitment or related fields
- Marketing skills and proficiency with marketing tools preferred
- Proven track record of achieving exceptional results
- Experience in student recruitment community engagement or grassroots organizing (preferred)
- Flexibility to engage in various external activities with availability for evening and weekend hours as needed
- Reliable transportation
- Exemplary written and verbal communication organizational and project management skills
- Strong persuasive public speaking abilities with experience presenting to diverse stakeholder groups
- Detailoriented with the ability to produce highquality work in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency in marketing design software (PowerPoint Publisher Illustrator etc. preferred
- Understanding of the Chicago Public Schools ecosystem including the GoCPS enrollment platform
Performance Responsibilities:
- Research recruitment strategies and analyze data to enhance recruitment and enrollment outcomes
- Collaborate with school leaders to develop and execute an annual recruitment plan
- Track analyze and report on student recruitment and enrollment data; work with schools to meet benchmarks and goals
- Support school leaders in creating and implementing effective student transition and onboarding plans
- Motivate train and ensure accountability of staff involved in enrollment activities
- Plan and attend local events to engage prospective families
- Oversee all internal student enrollment events (open houses new student orientations tours etc.
- Develop partnerships with potential student pipelines (elementary schools community organizations private schools religious institutions etc.
- Communicate with prospective families to provide clarity and consistency throughout the enrollment process
- Manage communications related to GoCPS enrollment and recruitment
- Collaborate with family engagement stakeholders to increase engagement and enhance student recruitment retention and enrollment efforts
- Organize and manage student records including filing systems and communication of records
- Work with External Affairs to ensure all student recruitment marketing materials are aligned with branding and messaging; update website and social media content related to enrollment

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8 AM to 4 PM

Required Experience:
Manager
