Job Description

Full time: 37hrs
Proposed Interview Date: TBC

We have an exciting opportunity for aGrounds Maintenance Operative to join our Grounds Maintenance team to maintain empty homes play areas and block communal sites that Saffron manage to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain and prepare Saffrons open spaces using powered hand tools and commercial rideon mowers.
  • Maintain communal grassed areas shrub beds hedges and parking areas including green waste removal.
  • Apply Herbicides/Biocides where necessary to public open spaces.
  • Maintain all open spaces to the recognised standard and specifications using powered hand tools mowers to industry best practices.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant experience and knowledge in all types of commercial grounds maintenance (green space) management.
  • Relevant experience of working with commercial powered hand tools (Brush cutters hedge cutters blowers) and rideon mowers
  • Holds a Front Loader qualification and NPTC Units NPTC PA1 PA6 Woodchipper would advantageous.
  • Able to work as part of a team and also able to work independently without the need for close supervision.
  • Excellent time management skills including an ability to prioritise workload and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills possessing the ability to liaise with various audiences.
  • Ability to use a mobile device (mobile phone/tablet) to manage workload send and receive emails access apps and MS Teams for meetings / training.
  • Full current valid driving licence with B E Trailer entitlement or equivalent.
