Description

This position is SignOn Bonus eligible. In addition to the signon bonus new teammates at Atrium Health are eligible for robust benefits packages and paid time off. This position is eligible for relocation bonus if current residence is out of the designated distance to facility.

Job Summary

The Cardiovascular/Electrophysiology Specialist III provides professional care in the SHVIInvasiveCardiac Electrophysiology and VascularLaboratoriesinaccordancewithhospital policies and procedures.


Essential Functions

  • Demonstratesevidencebased practiceandperformscareforthecomfortand wellbeing of the patient.
  • Performsand/orassistswithtreatmentstherapiesandprocedures(including scrub assistant monitoring and circulating) under the direction of the physician.
  • Administersmedicationunderthedirectsupervisionofthephysician as appropriate
  • Documents a current clinical picture and records designated information in thepatient record.
  • Conveysrelevantinformationtophysiciansandteammates.
  • Calculatesinterpretsandanalyzesdata.
  • Assists indevelopment of policies proceduresandstandardsof carereflectiveof current practice/literature.
  • Highly Recommended to participate in committeeandgovernanceactivities.

Physical Requirements
Intermittent to rapid pace with high pressure situations requiring periods of prolonged concentration and critical thinking. Work requires walking standing sitting lifting reaching stooping bending pushing and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 50 pounds in handling patients medical equipment and supplies. Fluency in reading writing and speaking English. Intact sense of sight hearing smell touch manual dexterity good eye hand coordination. Standing and walking while wearing 1020 lbs lead radiation protection aprons. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions. Potential exposure to radiation secretions and blood. Confined work area.



Education Experience and Certifications

Satisfactory completion of high school and an accredited program of Cardiovascular/Cardiopulmonary technology The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or related field required. Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist/Electrophysiology Specialist training or experience preferred. Graduate of an accredited Allied Health Technology program such as Radiologic Technology Respiratory Therapy or comparable. Graduate of Cardiovascular Interventional Program or minimum of two years of experience as a Cardiovascular Specialist.
