We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic acute care therapy team at the Logan Health Whitefish hospital.

PRN shifts for some weekend vacation and holiday coverage are available.

The number of available shifts and average hours per shift vary and are not guaranteed.

In the role of occupational therapist you will plan develop and implement personalized treatment programs for patients utilizing the latest occupational therapy principles and evidencebased practices. Youll have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population providing handson care that makes a tangible difference in their recovery and wellbeing. You will be part of a topnotch team of medical professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Current Montana OT license.

  • Graduate of an accredited program of Occupational Therapy.

  • Current BLS HCP CPR certification.

  • Knowledge of and skilled in the use of materials and equipment processes procedures and techniques currently used in occupational therapy.

  • Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Word Outlook Excel and ability to learn other software as needed.

Job Duties:

  • *Effectively plans supervises delegates and instructs nursing aides Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants OT students new OT graduates recently hired OTs and other staff members in an effort to provide services in a competent and efficient manner.

  • *Administers OT treatment to patients relative to age culture and conditions of patients served by KRMC.

  • *Implements specific and individualized treatment programs for patients according to the principles of OT hospital policy and payer requirements.

  • Completes all required documentation in a timely manner according to payer guidelines (Medicare Private Insurance Medicaid) and Montana practice guidelines for occupational therapy.

  • *Effective communication skills in regards to all aspects of care i.e. communication with patients peers family members students and team members regarding OT related information.

  • *Collaborates with patient family and team to develop goals and discharge.

  • *Develops and implements new programs/techniques in area of interest.

  • *Enhances rehabilitation services by participating in projects within the department the facility and the community.

Schedule:

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.

PRN positions (also referred to as Casual As Needed or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods employee absences and vacations making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program. Additionally they may qualify for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours offering extra compensation based on departmentspecific scheduling needs.Pay rates and scheduling practices may vary by department.
