GENERAL DESCRIPTION:


This position is responsible for maintaining repairing and servicing heating cooling and refrigeration systems at the Wyoming Medium Correctional Institution.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function that may be performed at the job level.


  • Installs and performs fault analysis maintenance and repairs on various types of Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems.
  • Installs environmental control units and facility support systems needing new installation or replacement systems.
  • Specifies and designs required plumbing and electrical support infrastructure to include expanded service and electronic/digital controls.
  • Regulates and accounts for the use of ozonedepleting substances regulated by the Environmental Protection Agency.
  • Investigate the feasibility of converting systems to use environmentally responsible refrigerants.
  • Responsible for ensuring a safe and enjoyable workplace including participation in initiatives designed to promote a positive work environment.

Qualifications


PREFERENCES/**AGENCY REQUIREMENTS:


Preference may be given to candidates with two 2 years of experience in HVAC.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
Associates Degree
Experience:
01 year of progressive work experience (typically in HVAC)
OR
Education & ExperienceSubstitution:
24 years of progressive work experience (typically in HVAC)

None
