As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset and Wealth Management you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted marketleading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Proven experience in working with and influencing senior business and technology partners
- Executes software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
- Carry out design reviews/code reviews at agreed points throughout the project life cycle
- Creates secure and highquality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
- Gathers analyzes synthesizes and develops visualizations and reporting from large diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Work closely with the product team to understand the business requirements and user acceptance testing teams to support during UAT phase.
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Adds to team culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect
- Have a defined goal based approach and adhere to committed timelines.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience
- Strong skills around object oriented analysis and design (OOAD) data structures algorithms design patterns
- Handson practical experience in system design application development testing and operational stability
- Proficient in coding in Java 17 Spring Boot and SQL Databases
- Advanced in two or more technologies Functional Programming BPMN Microservices RESTful webservices development JMS Kafka Hibernate
- Experience with JDBC/JPBA frameworks such as Hibernate or MyBatis.
- Cloud Strong Handson Cloud Native Architecture Azure / AWS Containerization / Kubernetes
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies CI/CD NonFunctional requirements like Resiliency performance and Security.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g. cloud artificial intelligence machine learning mobile etc.
