Job Summary:
The Security Director is responsible for the overall security functions of the property including casino guest and employee safety and security. This positions starting salary is $90000.
Essential Functions:
- Foster an environment that embodies Ballys Born to Entertain philosophy by creating a funfilled entertaining atmosphere
- Responsible for directing the overall operations and staff of the Security department.
- Develops implements and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
- Ensure that scheduling is done in an effective and efficient manner while maintaining labor costs meeting staffing objectives Gaming regulations and guest satisfaction.
- Enthusiastically supports actively promotes and demonstrates superior guest service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
- Ensure guest service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.
- Responsible for the overall achievement of department guest service goals.
- Responsible for preparing monitoring and adhering to budgets and ensuring compliance with departmental budget initiatives. Reports budget concerns / deviations to the Executive Leadership / GM.
- Develop evaluate enforce review and approve changes or revisions to operating practices procedures and standards based on business practices and internal controls.
- Conduct supervise and prepare reports relating to investigations of any losses or violations of law regulations policies or procedures.
- Submits all appropriate reports when incidents infractions and violations occur.
- Serve as liaison with gaming regulators public law enforcement fire and other agencies by maintaining a positive and constructive relationship.
- Protect and preserve the assets of the company and provide for the safety of team members including keeping areas free of safety hazards debris and litter.
- Examines and analyzes the physical property processes and procedures and develops institutes oversees and enforces emergency policies.
- Ensure transfer of table games fills and credits including providing escorts when needed
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to Executive Leadership / GM.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Military Law Enforcement or previous casino security experience preferred.
- Prior security safety or loss prevention experience preferred.
- Strong Organizational planning and supervisory skills are required
- Must have excellent interpersonal communication and problemsolving skills.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Should possess excellent guest service skills/conflict resolution skills.
- Be able to perform independently under limited supervision.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions.
- Previous computer knowledge is preferred.
- Respond to visual and aural cues.
- Able to work flexible shifts.
Physical Requirements:
- Operate in mentally and physically stressful situations
- Read write speak and understand English.
- Physically mobile standing required for long periods of time
- Frequently required to walk run kneel stretch push twist bend and lift
- Frequently required to lift up to a maximum of 30 pounds
- Requires manual dexterity to operate a keyboard
- Requires visual acuity to operate office equipment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
