JOB DESCRIPTION
- Provides transportation to the general public up to five days a week for meals work medical school social events and other activities requested.
- Performs technical duties of driving a bus and/or van and assisting passengers.
- Requires patience and a pleasant demeanor.
- May drive in adverse weather and road conditions.
- May have long days for special trips.
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Assist passengers on and off which could be to push/pull a wheelchair
- Perform pretrip inspection of vehicles and reports any problems to manager
- Collect fares and make sure money is secured.
QUALIFICATIONS
- This position requires a knowledge of operation and maintenance of buses
- Knowledge of first aid/CPR
- Knowledge of assisting nonambulatory persons
- Knowledge of highway and safety regulations.
- Ability to be an alert driver.
- Have a pleasant personality
- Assist nonambulatory adults
- climb stairs carry packages
- Be dependable communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Follow verbal and written instructions
- Establish working relationships with fellow employees supervisors and the public
- Maintain a good driving record
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or a GED preferred
- Experience driving and maintaining a bus preferred.
- Experience in dealing with and assisting elderly or handicapped persons helpful.
- Must possess or be able to acquire a CPR and First Aid card.
- Must possess valid state of Montana drivers license.
- Must have acceptable driving and criminal record.
SCHEDULE
Wage rate also dependent upon experience and education. Starting $14.50
