  • $110000 $130000 (FTE) per annum excluding superannuation.
  • Full time 1.0 fixedterm position

The Knowledge Management and Translation Manager will play a critical role in working with placebased initiatives to identify best practices and translate them into accessible tools that drive realworld impact.

This role will ensure that community experiences and expertise are central to PLACEs knowledgesharing efforts ensuring that research and learning resources are informed by and responsive to local realities needs and aspirations. The Manager will oversee the creation of practical tools capacitybuilding initiatives and policy resources that empower communities practitioners and policymakers.



Requirements

Who you are (selection criteria):

  • You bring extensive experience in knowledge management research translation or communityled learning with a strong commitment to elevating local voices and lived experience.
  • You have a proven ability to work collaboratively with community stakeholders to capture insights document best practices and translate learnings into accessible practical tools.
  • You have exceptional communication and facilitation skills engaging a wide range of audiences and distilling complex information for diverse needs.
  • You have extensive experience in designing and delivering learning content and capacitybuilding programs using diverse formats such as workshops toolkits peer learning forums and multimedia resources.
  • You are skilled in distilling information from multiple sources such as: qualitative insights or academic research and turning it into actionable frameworks guidance or policy recommendations.
  • You are competent and confident in managing multiple projects simultaneously with strong organisational and project management skills to ensure deliverables are met to a high standard.
  • You are aligned with PLACEs commitment to community empowerment and bring a valuesdriven approach to your work.
  • You thrive in dynamic startup environments and are energised by collaboration iteration and continuous learning.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop deep partnerships with communities ensuring that knowledge translation efforts reflect lived experiences priorities and solutions identified by local people.
  • Lead the development of PLACEs Learning Hub ensuring it provides practical evidencebased tools for communities practitioners and policymakers.
  • Support community organisations frontline practitioners and local leaders in applying best practices through training mentoring and handson capacity building.
  • Foster strong partnerships with local organisations networks and knowledge hubs to share insights and codevelop resources.
  • Develop communitydriven feedback mechanisms to assess the relevance accessibility and effectiveness of PLACEs knowledge tools and resources.
