Were excited to expand our Finance team with a Senior Accountant who will take ownership of critical accounting operations and help scale our processes as the company grows. This role will lead key elements of the monthly close manage AP workflows and vendor relationships and support crossfunctional budgeting and forecasting efforts.
Youll also play an active role in process improvement and system enhancements helping Cozy Earth build a finance foundation thats as thoughtful and durable as our products.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute key components of the monthly close process including journal entries account reconciliations and reporting
- Oversee the AP process and ensure accurate coding vendor communication and timely payments
- Maintain and improve accounting systems including helping transition to and maintain NetSuite ERP
- Identify and implement process improvements that increase accuracy efficiency and scalability
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to support budgeting forecasting and financial planning
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- 35 years of accounting experience ideally in a fastgrowing company or startup environment
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
- Experience with NetSuite preferred; QuickBooks knowledge a plus
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills and a proactive problemsolving mindset
