Job Description

Our client in New Kensington is seeking a Manufacturing Accountant to join the team

Job Responsibilities

- Prepare and review journal entries general ledger reconciliations and monthly financial statements.
- Perform month-end quarter-end and year-end close processes accurately and on schedule.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and all relevant regulations.
- Maintain monitor and analyze accounting records ledgers and financial reports.
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow reporting.
- Prepare and file required tax returns including sales/use tax property tax and corporate income tax.
- Complete company-mandated census reporting.
- Manage financial control of all fixed assets within the manufacturing department including tooling.
- Analyze financial statements to identify discrepancies irregularities or areas for improvement.


Requirments:

- Preferred the candidate has experience working for a manufacturing company.
- Bachelors degree with an accounting major.
- 8-10 years in cost accounting experience in manufacturing or similar area
