Manager Student Support
Location: Newcastle Wetherill Park or Wollongong Campus
Temporary Fulltime until June 2028
Total Remuneration Package $178647.30 includes salary of $158152.00 pa plus employers contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Totackle skill shortages in priority areas TAFE NSW is launching the TAFE NSW Manufacturing Centres of Excellence (MCoE) which is a joint initiative between the Australian Government and NSW Government under the National Skills Agreement. The TAFE NSW MCoE is an agile approach to skills acquisition connecting industry and education partners to foster innovative training pathways and enhance core manufacturing skills.

About the role
As Manager Student Support youll lead a dynamic and passionate team to ensure that a full suite of student support services is delivered and meet high levels of performance and excellence in customer experience. This position is tasked with fostering a culture of collaboration and community within the MCoEs for students providing meaningful services to support individuals in reaching their potential and maintaining student engagement in the learning process. The successful candidate will be based at one of the MCoE campuses at either Newcastle Wetherill Park or Wollongong and must be willing to travel regionally as required to the other two MCoE campuses.
About You
You are an established leader experienced in managing motivating and inspiring a team to deliver high quality customer focused outcomes. You are innovative and have an ambition to drive change in delivering the best customer journey possible. You have effective communication skills with a natural problem solving ability to drive best business practice for our customers and stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Degree in a relevant discipline OR equivalent skills knowledge and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in customer relations with the ability to influence engage and work collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve common objectives embedding customer centric principles in operations.
Highly Desirable:
- Experience in leading large projects or programs to improve engagement levels and learner/customer outcomes across diverse cohorts.
- Demonstrated experience in community and industry relations with the ability to influence engage and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
