You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThis position is accountable for all aspects of alcohol beverage service during events. This position assures that alcoholic beverage services are performed according to company standards and that guests are greeted and served in a friendly professional and welcoming manner. The Bartender is the companys alcoholic beverage representative during events assuring customer service is maintained at the highest of levels maintaining and exceeding company standards. The Bartender is responsible for bar setup inventory control guests service cash control and bar clean up and restocking at the end of each shift. The Bartender interfaces with the Event Coordinator Event Manager and Banquet Captain to assure that guests services are being maintained during events.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Bar setup and preparation of inventory for each event
2. Serving guests during events according to schedule (host or nohost bar)
3. Bar cleanup and restocking at end of events
4. Bar POS system closeout at the end of each shift
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
1. Minimum of a high school diploma or GED and five 5 years of food service bar experience or certificate in bartending service training.
2. Ability to manage all functions of a bar operation.
3. Ability to work under pressure to service guests.
4. Must be able to work well with all levels of employees and with guests.
5. Requires a high level of interpersonal and communication skills. Requires a high degree of organizational skills as well as a selfstarting ability.
6. Ability to remain flexible and provide open communication both to staff and
management.
7. Must have high level of integrity and professionalism.
8. Must have Responsible Alcohol Beverage Service certificate or equivalent.
PHYSICAL STANDARDS:
1. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
2. Must be able to talk clearly and hear responses.
3. Must have the ability to receive detailed information through hearing and to make
discriminations in sound.
4. Must be able to stand walk crouch and climb stairs.
5. Must be able to reach grasp and finger objects and operate business equipment.
6. Manual dexterity required for keyboard functions and repetitive motions.
7. Minimum visual acuity requirements include reading numbers printed instructions and
video display terminals.
8. Must be able to exert weights of up to one hundred 100 pounds of force on an occasional basis and twenty 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift carry
push pull or otherwise move objects.
9. Employee is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
