What Youll Do as a Mathnasium Parttime Math Instructor / Educator
- Teach math to students in a semiprivate setting (up to 4:1 ratio) or oneonone using the Mathnasium Method and curriculum.
- Guide students through customized learning plans to help them develop natural mathematical thinking skills..
- Provide occasional homework support in alignment with Mathnasium teaching constructs.
- Track and assess student progress throughout instructional sessions.
- Contribute to a positive productive and engaging learning environment.
- Collaborate with team members and participate in ongoing training.
- Complete administrative tasks as assigned.
What Were Looking For
- Exceptional math content knowledge and teaching skills with competency through at least Algebra 2.
- At least 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring math to children ages 517.
- A teaching certification is a plus and prior experience as a Mathnasium Instructor is a big advantage.
- Excellent communication multitasking and organizational skills.
- An energetic patient and confident personality with a passion for inspiring student
- Professionalism in interacting with students and parents.
- Must hold an undergraduate degree or be a college junior or senior studying a STEM (e.g. Math Physics Computer/Data Science) or quantitative fields (e.g. Finance/Accounting) or educationrelated field
- Availability to work 3 PM7 PM on at least 3 weekdays and 23 weekend shifts per month.
As part of our hiring process here at Mathnasium all applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency.
