Cyber Zero Trust - Deputy Chief Engineer AE

AEITS Inc. is looking to grow its team! We are seeking a Deputy Chief Engineer Cyber Zero Trust to support our customer in the Columbia MD area. This handson role involves integrating COTS technologies providing technical leadership and ensuring the successful delivery of a secure scalable Zero Trust solution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems integration cybersecurity and Zero Trust principles working closely with stakeholders senior leadership and crossfunctional teams to drive innovation and mission success.

Mission: As a Deputy Chief Engineer on this government program you will be providing support for this important DOD mission.

This is a handson keyboard engineering leader for one of our DoD programs. The ideal candidate will deliver operational skills a proven track record of successful project delivery and the ability to lead and inspire a team of engineers. The Deputy Chief will work closely with the PMO team leaders senior leadership within DoD stakeholders and crossfunctional teams to ensure that our engineering practices are robust scalable and align with industry best practices.

The role will involve integrating COTS technologies into a tech stack and providing technical guidance and handson keyboard skills to ensure the successful integration and delivery of a prototype solution. This position is also responsible for maintaining a strong focus on quality performance and security while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Specific project experience with Zero Trust policy guidance and measurement is essential.

Location: Columbia Maryland

All work is onsite. This is not a hybrid or remote position.

Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship
• Active Secret Clearance
• Bachelors and/or Masters degree (preferred) in Computer Science Cybersecurity Engineering or related field and Ten 10 years of experience in engineering roles.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers.
• Ensure alignment of engineering practices with business goals and bridge gaps between the teams vertical segments.
• Evaluate potential new technologies and frameworks.
• Provide technical guidance to and oversight of a group of integration engineers.
• Collaborate with and brief senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Ensure engineering practices are robust scalable and secure.
• Drive the implementation of innovative solutions.
• Maintain a focus on quality performance and security.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Stay current with DOD policy guidelines and best practices.
• Facilitate communication between technical and nontechnical teams.

Desired Requirements

• Proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Desired experience with a variety of zero trust technologies and frameworks including ICAM PAM and ABAC (e.g. Ping Trend Micro Virtru and Delinea.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
• Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
• Experience with cloud computing and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of security and compliance standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams.
• Strong focus on quality performance and security.
• Experience with Agile and iterative development methodologies.
• Ability to stay current with industry trends and advancements.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Education and Required Qualification

• Masters degree in computer science Cybersecurity Engineering or related field.

OR

• Bachelors in computer science Cybersecurity Engineering or related field and Ten 10 years of experience in engineering roles.

Travel

• Less than 25 of travel may occur.
