Job Description
Rome Health is currently seeking a Registered Nurse for our Endoscopy department.
The Registered Nurse assesses directs and coordinates patient care and procedures in an efficient empathetic timely and appropriate manner to the age of patients served.
Responsibilities:
- Perform assessments of patients conditions needs and vital signs in preparation for endoscopy procedures.
- Prepare patients for procedures assist during procedures and ensure a safe and efficient environment.
- Work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop and execute patient plans of care.
- Provide health education and support to patients and their families addressing their questions and concerns about procedures aftercare and recovery.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments procedures and followup care in compliance with hospital protocols.
Call Schedule*
6 days of call per month with a weekend commitment.
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; current Basic Life
Support; BS in Nursing preferred.
LICENSES: Current Registered Nurse License in New York State
EXPERIENCE: 1 to 2 years of work experience in an acute care hospital is desirable. Previous experience in an Endoscopy or procedural setting preferred.
Call Schedule*
6 days of call per month with a weekend commitment.
