Job Description
Overview
Responsibilities
Assists with performing Brainstem Evoked Potential (BAER) and Visual Evoked Potential tests to evaluate specific sensory pathways and identify abnormalities in the nervous system.
Faxes dictated Nerve Conduction Reports to referring physicians daily to ensure timely communication and collaboration for accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
Maintains wellcalibrated equipment and a sanitized work environment and stocks all neurodiagnostic supplies to promote patient safety and infection control and support the smooth workflow of neurodiagnostic procedures.
Supports conducting various Nerve Conduction Studies such as Blink Reflex studies and Repetitive Nerve Stimulation to comprehensively assess nerve function and aid in diagnosing conditions affecting the peripheral nervous system.
Educates and prepares patients regarding Nerve Conduction Velocity (NCV) studies and EMG to foster patient understanding and cooperation during procedures for improved diagnostic outcomes.
Provides support and education to new employees as necessary to promote a cohesive and knowledgeable team that delivers highquality neurodiagnostic services.
Performs other duties as assigned.
