Responsible for all daily operation and maintenance activities for Marsh Landing Generating Station. This includes responsibility for all operations functions as well as all maintenance & planning work.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the Marsh Landing Generating Station. Including all scheduling outage request & notification unit status and safe operation of the power plant equipment.
- Evaluate production output efficiency and related variables and the overall effectiveness of operation practices and procedures.
- Measure and control maintenance performance.
- Develop obtain approval and monitor a complete operations and maintenance budget that is consistent with the objectives of the owners.
- Manage corporate safety and environmental programs.
- Provide accurate routine and special reports on maintenance activities cost allocation system and equipment reliability.
- Collect and maintain required evidence for NERC/WECC reporting.
- Responsible for training of Combustion Turbine Technicians in areas of Maintenance and Operations.
SCOPE:
Works under limited supervision in a team environment. Supervises employees plus all contractors on the facility. Establishes priorities for all maintenance activities at the facilities. Involves contact with all levels of employees through senior management and frequent external contact with outside business partners such as vendors suppliers and contractors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED and5 to 7 years experience in power plant operations or maintenance OR
- Bachelor of Science degree and a minimum of4years experience in power plant operations or maintenance required.
- Experience with startup operations and maintenance of gas turbines generators electronic controls and monitoring devices.
- Experiencing leading or supervising people.
- Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities Requires ability to sit for extended periods of time periodically bending and twisting and frequently apply a moderate amount of force to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced degree in engineering.
- Knowledge of EH&S rules regulations and procedures
- Environmental control experience.
- Capital project experience.
- Extensive knowledge of gas technologies.
