Star Stone is looking for a dedicated 2nd Shift Supervisor to join our team overseeing operations in our Saw Shop. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A 1st SHIFT SUPERVISOR
As a 2nd Shift Supervisor at Star Stone your day begins with a focus on guiding and empowering your team in the Saw Shop. You start by mentoring and training employees ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed for success. Throughout the day you track productivity and identify areas for improvement collaborating with team members to implement changes that enhance efficiency and quality. Your role also involves liaising with HR to hire new talent and evaluate employee performance making recommendations for promotions or disciplinary action as necessary. With a keen eye for safety and a commitment to excellence you oversee operations ensuring that all work is performed according to established protocols. Your satisfaction comes from seeing your team thrive under your guidance knowing that your leadership is instrumental in driving success in the Saw Shop.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in quarry operations or a similar field as a foreman line lead or shift supervisor with proficiency in operating all Saw Shop equipment including the 100 Gantry Saw Gantry Saw A and Gantry Saw B.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on visionary management employee training and improvement initiatives capable of mentoring and training employees at all skill levels.
- Proficiency in using computer software for recordkeeping tracking productivity and managing employee training and certifications.
- Ability to evaluate employee performance recommend promotions or disciplinary action and work collaboratively with HR for hiring and team development.
- Excellent communication and problemsolving abilities with a commitment to safety protocols and regulations ensuring a safe working environment in various weather conditions.

ROCK QUARRY FOREMAN WORK SCHEDULE
The schedule will be from 3:30 PM to around Midnight Monday to Friday.
