Do you excel in multitasking skills and have a commitment to providing great customer service The Department of Transportation is actively looking to hire a Clerical Assistant 3 to provide clerical and office support within the Division. In this role you will have the opportunity to assist the Medical industry Lawyers Legislative Offices Messengers Exam Centers and Drivers. Your efforts will directly impact the efficient operation of the office and improve our services for Pennsylvanians. This position will focus on reviewing all incoming medical reports from physicians law enforcement and concerned citizens. Work involves comparing information received to regulations and statutes and making an independent processing decision on the action that is to be taken. Creating a case for each individual driver you will process medical reports using a PC based imaging system. Medical research using the internet and other available sources may be required in order to make a determination on a driver report. You will have the opportunity to Initiate telephone calls to physicians and other medical personnel to acquire information needed for clarification of reports received by the Department. After reviewing and processing all returned medical forms you will be responsible for making a decision resulting in approval or disqualification of drivers for special medical waivers.
