Job Description
Els for Autism Foundation based in Jupiter Florida envisions a world of limitless possibilities for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families.
Position Purpose:
This position is responsible for accounts payable & account receivable entry. You will assist with the billing process for private and public payors and work closely with an outside medical billing company to ensure all insurance bills are processed and reconciled to the EOBs. Responsible for maintenance of electronic medical billing records including the intake of clients.
Responsibilities:
Record receivables across multiple merchants including Square Stripe and Donor Perfect
Process weekly account payable invoices and generate checks
Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules fixed assets and depreciation schedules and prepaid insurance schedule including monthly QuickBooks journal entries
Assist with private pay billing for program services
Work directly with medical billing companies clients and internal service providers to determine benefits ensure accuracy of claim submissions. Track denied claims and resubmissions as required
Administer records and communication to potential clients and clinical providers regarding billing; verify clients benefits prior to service; answer client billing questions
Assist with the credentialing organization process; monitor insurance authorization status; enter invoices and EOBs into QuickBooks and process payments for services
Work Environment:
- This job is MondayFriday
- Office work is completed on campus and includes working in a shared office space.
Qualifications:
- Experience in medical insurance billing software coding and software
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in general accounting accounts receivable and payable
- Demonstrated time management communication and teaming abilities
- Expertise in QuickBooks Excel and Word
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
- Knowledge of medical insurance billing specific to autism and related therapies
- Knowledge of Central Reach
