Job Description
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The SIZZLE! classroom teacher is required to maintain and/or improve reading levels in atrisk children in the Easton Area School District grades kindergarten through fifth during a sixweek summer program.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:
The teacher follows the researchbased curriculum and manages daily class activities to promote Literacy and encourage parents to participate in their childs experience at SIZZLE!.
DUTIES:
Manage daily classroom activities using researchbased lessons maintain the standard daily schedule and supervise aides
Teach children through play reading songs and other developmentally appropriate activities
Promote reading skills writing skills language fluency and create a languagerich environment
Create lesson plans and plan accordingly
Administer assessments
Track student attendance
Distribute collect and record completion of homework/ activities
Supervise entry to and from the school
Supervise and assist children during recess breakfast lunch and classroom routines
Monitor the general welfare and safety of children
Assist in the development of good health habits positive manners and social relationships
Engage parents and children during Family Nights
Complete light housekeeping duties and maintain equipment and supplies
Develop and maintain positive relationships with school personnel
Attend scheduled staff meetings

- Time Management; ability to manage and complete work assignment within deadlines
- Computer Skills; ability to enter data into a database manipulate spreadsheet data and type text format edit print save and retrieve word processing documents
JOB REQUIREMENT: Bachelors Degree and Teacher Certification
HOURS: Parttime (sixweek summer reading program)
SUPERVISOR: School Based Programs Manager
All applicants will be required to take and pass a drug screen prior to hiring.
