About Farmington Hills Hospital
Recognized by U.S News and World Report as one of the nations highperforming facilities for multiple procedures and conditions and has been recognized as a Magnetdesigned hospital for nursing excellence. This hospital has grown in size and capabilities over the decades to become a Level II trauma center serving the community since 1965. It also serves as the base teaching hospital for Michigan State University.
Scope of work
The Surgical Technologist II will be responsible for maintaining and preparing the surgical suite intraoperative handling of instruments maintenance of the sterile field and evaluation of changing conditions during the surgical procedures and making appropriate responses as needed. Responsible for maintaining knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols. May serve as a preceptor as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma Required
Associate degree or equivalent Required
Completion of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or equivalent training program (military etc. Not all schools require an associate degree Or 1 year of equivalent experience Required
Minimum of 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience (Clinical rotations do count as experience) Preferred
AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire Required
