This job works hand in hand with the specialty pharmacy team members referring doctors nursing staff and care coordinators by completing prior authorizations on behalf of the prescriber. Works directly with patients to determine eligibility for medication and financial assistance programs. Ensures patients receive timely access to their prescribed medications. Assists the specialty team as necessary. Participates in special projects/committees as needed.This job description is a summary of the primary duties and responsibilities of the job and position. Education
Required High School diploma or equivalent
Work Experience
Required 2 years experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
Preferred Experience in specialty pharmacy
Certifications
Required Current Pharmacy Technician Certificate issued by the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
