Job Description
Position: Residential Driver
Location: Lloydminster AB
Are you a skilled driver with a commitment to safety and efficiency GFL Environmental is seeking a dedicated Residential Driver to join our team in Lloydminster AB. As a key member of our waste removal services you will play a crucial role in collecting and transporting solid waste and recyclables while upholding our standards for safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a residential/recycling collection truck Manual Side Load.
- Load recyclables into the collection vehicle.
- Compact Recycle and Process efficiently using prescribed techniques.
- Conduct pretrip and posttrip safety inspections and complete required documentation.
- Communicate vehicle mechanical issues promptly to supervisors and mechanics.
- Maintain route quality standards and follow safety regulations.
- Identify and tag prohibited Recycle items removing them from Transfer Site.
- Adhere to all federal state/provincial local and company safety rules.
Requirements:
- Minimum Class 3 Drivers License (CDL) required.
- Minimum one 1 year of commercial driving experience OR CDL school certificate.
- Ability to meet safety criteria for sensitive functions according to company standards.
- Demonstrated ability to safely drive a truck and operate equipment.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of truck components and basic maintenance for safe operation.
- Proficient in maneuvering trucks in tight spaces using mirrors.
- Ability to recognize and handle unacceptable waste materials.
- Effective communication with internal and external customers.
- Reading writing and comprehension of associated documents and maps.
- Physical ability to lift push pull or carry objects up to 50 pounds using proper techniques.
