Lakeside HR Group has been engaged by our client to recruit for a Commercial Construction Project Manager to join their team. Our client is a growing general contractor that takes pride in building strong longterm relationships with clients by focusing on collaboration and education throughout the construction process. The ideal candidate is a skilled Project Manager who thrives in a teamfocused handson workplace. They should have a proven history of managing commercial construction projects from building client relationships to delivering successful outcomes. This role requires someone who can market themselves and the company collaborate with estimators to develop and finalize accurate bid proposals and oversee projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan coordinate and supervise all phases of construction projects to ensure alignment with company goals budgets and timelines.
Manage owner contracts proposals and construction change directives.
Develop and negotiate subcontractor scopes and contracts.
Direct the construction effort onsite and provide assistance with the supervision of craft employees when needed.
Maintain detailed logs of proposals construction changes and project updates.
Review and interpret bid documents blueprints and specifications. Solicit requests for proposals from subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
Work closely with internal teams subcontractors and suppliers to ensure seamless project delivery.
Required Skills:
Bachelor s degree in Construction Management Project Management Engineering or related experience.
3 years of experience with a commercial general contractor.
Proven project management experience with a demonstrated ability to oversee and deliver projects from start to finish.
Strong knowledge of construction specifications plans and estimating processes.
Familiarity with the local construction industry and market.
Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
