Job Description
An Outstanding Mixed school in Enfield is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Music Teacher for a permanent fulltime position commencing in September. The successful Music Teacher will cultivate a love of music and develop musical skills in students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging Music Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4 covering performance composition and appreciation.
- Prepare students effectively for GCSE Music examinations ensuring a strong understanding of musical theory and practice.
- Foster a creative and collaborative environment where students can explore their musical talents.
- Assess and monitor student progress in music providing constructive and encouraging feedback as a Music Teacher.
- Contribute to the organisation of extracurricular musical activities such as choirs and instrumental ensembles.
- Encourage an appreciation for a wide range of musical genres and cultural traditions.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Music.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching Music at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4.
- Strong musical skills including performance ability on at least one instrument and a solid understanding of music theory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills capable of inspiring a passion for music as a Music Teacher.
