As a Music Teacher you will have the opportunity to inspire students across Key Stages 3 to 5 offering them the tools and knowledge to develop their musical abilities to the fullest.
The Role
As a Music Teacher at our school you will:
Deliver engaging and inspiring music lessons to students across Key Stage 3 4 and 5 encouraging them to develop both their theoretical and practical musical skills
Develop a varied and exciting curriculum that sparks creativity and fosters a passion for music ensuring students gain a deep understanding of music theory history and performance
Guide students through individual and group performances helping them refine their instrumental vocal and composition skills
Contribute to the schools music culture by supporting and leading extracurricular activities such as choir orchestra music clubs and performances
Collaborate with fellow Music Teachers to share best practices and continually enhance the curriculum ensuring that it challenges and motivates students
Provide meaningful feedback on student progress supporting them to reach their full potential
For experienced Music Teachers take on a leadership role within the department mentoring junior staff and contributing to strategic planning and curriculum development
For newer Music Teachers receive structured mentoring and professional development opportunities to help you grow and thrive in your teaching career
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a committed Music Teacher who is passionate about inspiring students and fostering a love for music. Whether you are an experienced Music Teacher or a newly qualified Music Teacher you will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Music or a related field
A passion for teaching music and the ability to inspire students to engage deeply with the subject
For experienced Music Teachers: A proven track record in delivering highquality music lessons and developing students musical talents
For new Music Teachers (ECTs): A desire to develop professionally with strong mentoring and support available to help you grow in your role
Strong communication skills to engage with students parents and colleagues
A commitment to promoting music education both in and outside the classroom
