Job Description
We are currently hiring a dedicated SpeechLanguage Pathologist (SLP) for a 13week travel/contract assignment in Gallup NM. Both local and travel candidates are encouraged to apply.
Job Details:
- Shift: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
- Guaranteed Hours: 35 hours per week
- Weekly Pay: $1750 $1925
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment & Diagnosis: Evaluate patients for speech language cognitivecommunication and swallowing disorders.
- Treatment Planning: Develop customized therapy plans based on patient assessments and needs.
- Therapy Implementation: Deliver effective therapy sessions focusing on speech language voice fluency social communication and swallowing disorders.
- Family & Caregiver Education: Educate family members and caregivers to reinforce therapy strategies at home.
- Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare teams including physicians audiologists and other specialists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate records of evaluations treatment plans progress notes and discharge summaries.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid SLP state license (New Mexico).
- CCCSLP certification from ASHA.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience working with a diverse patient population is a plus.
Travel & Local Considerations:
- Candidates outside a 50mile radius qualify for travel pay.
