Overview
The AdOps QA (Quality Assurance) Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring that advertising processes and campaigns operate smoothly and effectively. An AdOps QA Specialist is responsible for identifying inconsistencies in ad delivery addressing discrepancies and ensuring that all advertisements meet both internal and external quality standards. The AdOps QA Specialist collaborates closely with crossfunctional teams including Ad Operations Marketing and Development to implement improvements and resolve issues swiftly. This position demands a thorough understanding of digital advertising technologies a proactive approach to quality assurance and an ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to nontechnical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform endtoend quality assurance testing on ad campaigns.
- Review ad specifications and requirements to ensure adherence.
- Identify and document bugs errors and issues in ad delivery.
- Conduct regression testing on ad delivery systems.
- Create and execute test plans and test cases for various ad formats.
- Analyze ad performance metrics to identify trends and anomalies.
- Collaborate with the Ad Operations team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) for new ad technologies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of testing procedures and results.
- Communicate findings and suggestions to relevant stakeholders.
- Work with developers to discuss the technical aspects of advertising issues.
- Monitor live campaigns to ensure accurate delivery and performance.
- Assist in optimizing ad configurations based on test results.
- Provide training and support to team members on QA processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in a relevant field (Computer Science Marketing etc..
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Ad Operations or Quality Assurance.
- Familiarity with digital advertising platforms and technologies.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail.
- Experience with data analysis tools and reporting.
- Proficiency in HTML CSS and JavaScript is a plus.
- Working knowledge of ad serving technologies and systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as IAB and MRC guidelines.
- Experience with project management tools and software.
- Proven problemsolving skills and technical troubleshooting abilities.
- Awareness of emerging technologies in the digital advertising space.
- Certification in relevant quality assurance methodologies (e.g. ISTQB) is a plus.
