The Superintendent is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the companys relationship with local communities local authorities external partners and stakeholders. The Superintendent ensures that a climate of trust is maintained social conflicts are prevented and sustainable development initiatives are supported in connection with the companys activities.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
- Develop implement and monitor the companys community relations strategy
- Serve as a focal point between the company host communities local authorities NGOs technical partners and other stakeholders
- Develop and implement the company support plan for local communities promoting the empowerment of the populations living near the Nimba Mountains through direct actions or via external partners in order to encourage them to organize and actively engage in their own development with ad hoc support from the company
- Ensure the proper application of the Local Content policy
- Supervise community development projects and community communication actions
- Prevent and manage community conflicts in collaboration with stakeholders
- Ensure and guarantee the compliance of community practices with Guinean legislation and international standards
Profil
DESIRED PROFILE
- University degree (Bac 4/5 in Social Sciences International Relations Communication or similar field
- At least 8 years of experience in the field of community relations including 3 years in a coordination or supervisory position ideally in the mining sector
- Very good communication negotiation and conflict management skill
- Fluency in French required; Knowledge of local languages and English is an asset
- Have indepth knowledge of IT too
- Sense of ethics leadership availability and team spirit
