This is a remote position.
We are seeking an experienced Professional Fee (ProFee) Medical Coder to join our healthcare team. The ProFee Coder is responsible for accurately reviewing analyzing and assigning appropriate CPT ICD10CM and HCPCS codes for professional (physician) services based on medical documentation. This role ensures compliance with federal coding regulations and guidelines while optimizing reimbursement.
What you will do:
Review and abstract clinical documentation from medical records.
Assign accurate CPT ICD10CM and HCPCS Level II codes for physician and outpatient services.
Ensure coding compliance with established guidelines and payerspecific requirements.
Query physicians for clarification when documentation is insufficient or unclear.
Work with billing and revenue cycle teams to ensure proper claim submission and reimbursement.
Stay uptodate with changes in coding regulations payer policies and industry trends.
Meet productivity and accuracy benchmarks as defined by the department.
Participate in internal and external coding audits and implement feedback.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
What you will bring to the table:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate s degree or higher preferred.
Certification required: CPC CCSP or equivalent (e.g. COC).
Minimum of 2 years of ProFee coding experience preferably in a multispecialty or hospitalbased setting.
Strong understanding of E/M leveling surgical coding and modifier usage.
Proficiency in coding software and EHR systems (e.g. Epic Cerner 3M EncoderPro).
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Strong communication and organizational abilities.

PART TIME TEAM MEMBERS
This position is paying $26.00$28.00 per hour.
