This role serves as a Licensing Technician for child residential facilities child day treatment programs and mental health services. The primary responsibility is to conduct inspections to ensure compliance with state laws and regulations related to licensing. The goal is to safeguard the health safety and wellbeing of residents and individuals receiving care in these programs.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in a health or human services field (e.g. Nursing Social Work Psychology EMT etc.
OR
Associate s degree in a related field plus 2 years of relevant experience
OR
At least 1 year of experience in a related field demonstrating the ability to perform job duties.
Summary of Duties:
Conduct inspections (initial annual complaintbased etc. of child residential day treatment and mental health programs to ensure compliance with state laws and regulations.
Investigate complaints incidents and unlicensed operations.
Assist in relocating residents from noncompliant facilities.
Monitor corrective action plans and recommend enforcement actions as needed.
Interview residents staff and other stakeholders; review documentation for regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with other agencies and testify in hearings when required.
Maintain accurate reports and documentation using computer systems.
Provide guidance to providers and respond to regulatory inquiries.
Essential Functions:
Valid driver s license and reliable transportation for frequent travel including overnight stays.
Strong communication documentation and analytical skills.
Ability to climb stairs and access all areas of facilities.
Must establish a homebased office.
