Job Description
- Develop and execute the approved annual audit plan.
- Conduct operational financial and compliance audits.
- Ensure audits are conducted in accordance with the organization's policies regulations and industry standards.
- Identify and assess risks within financial and operational processes.
- Ensure the organization adheres to applicable laws regulations and accreditation requirements.
- Provide actionable recommendations to mitigate risks and enhance control measures.
- Review and analyze financial statements budgets and expenditures for accuracy and compliance.
- Assess the effectiveness of internal control systems.
- Monitor procurement processes and resource utilization to prevent fraud and mismanagement.
- Investigate financial irregularities fraud or misconduct.
- Advise on policies to strengthen fraud detection and prevention efforts.
- Facilitate regular training for staff and faculty on internal controls and compliance procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in auditing (at least 2 years in external audit or 3 years in internal audit at a local university).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) are a plus.
- Knowledge of higher education regulations accreditation standards and compliance requirements.
- Experience in fraud detection risk assessment and financial analysis preferred.
- Familiarity with internal control frameworks.
- Understanding of auditing standards.
- Proficient in computer applications such as NetSuite PeopleCore and others.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong ethical integrity and objectivity.
- Ability to communicate effectively with top management MANCOM and all organizational levels.
