Position Summary
As a System Administrator in our Bahamas Service Delivery group you will be responsible for configuring virtualizing managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure of CBN deployed solutions for our Bahamian government customers. In this position you will provide ongoing support and tune and optimize system performance to ensure they remain highly available reliable and secure.
Responsibilities
- System Administration: Install configure virtualize and maintain servers networks and other IT infrastructure components. Leverage automation tools to enhance outcomes.
- Performance Monitoring and Tuning: Monitor system performance identify issues and optimize performance.
- Security Management: Implement and manage security measures to protect systems and databases from unauthorized access and threats.
- Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup and recovery plans to ensure data protection and availability.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support for system including troubleshooting and resolving problems.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system and network configurations changes processes and procedures.

Qualifications :
Knowledge Experience and Skills
- Education: Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology (or a related field) or an equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience.
- Certifications: CompTIA Server Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or similar certifications are assets.
- Knowledge: System administration principles database management principles network protocols security best practices.
- Experience: 48 years of experience in system administration with database exposure.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills excellent communication abilities attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Competencies: Organizational skills adaptability and a proactive approach to identifying and solving issues.

- Deployment/Configuration: Any of the following Puppet Terraform Ansible Bicep Helmchart
- SQL and Scripting: SQL Python PowerShell Bash
- Security: Active Directory Kerberos LDAP Bitlocker LUKS
- Tools: Git OpenSSL tcpdump Wireshark PowerCLI Sysinternals Suite Reporting Tools
Mandatory Requirements
- Language(s): Fluency in English (reading writing speaking)
- Physical Activities: Ability to lift/carry up to 25lbs
- Work Hours: Ability to work oncall rotation that includes overnight/weekends (potentially)
- Travel: Ability to travel internationally (passport required) approx. 26 weeks/year
