Job Description
We are seeking a talented Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Melbourne Australia. In this role you will be reporting to the Cloud & Infrastructure Manager and you will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and ensuring its reliability scalability and security.
Some of your key responsibilities:
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using platforms like Azure GCP AWS
- Provision and configure virtual machines storage and networking resources
- Automate infrastructure deployment and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
- Implement and maintain containerization solutions using technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues ensuring high availability and performance
- Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and integration
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Participate in oncall rotations and provide timely incident response
- Being the Azure SME for key projects collaborate between development security operations and automation using Microsoft Azure platform (DevOps)
What youll need to succeed:
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms extensive knowledge of Azure is required.
- Experience with virtualization technologies VMware
- Proficiency in scripting languages Python Bash PowerShell
- Understanding of networking concepts TCP/IP firewalls load balancing
- Knowledge of containerization technologies Kubernetes
- Problemsolving and troubleshooting skills
- Cloud certification Azure Solutions Architect Expert is a plus
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools eg Bicep
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
- Experience with Azure Container Apps
- Experience with resource cost and security optimization (Cloud Ops / FinOps)
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role preferred
- Minimum 5 years experience using Microsoft Azure platform
