Job Description

Job Title: Sr VMware Engineer Windows Hosting Specialist

Location: Saskatoon Saskatchewan Canada (Onsite)

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled VMware Engineer with strong expertise in Windowsbased hosting environments to join our IT Infrastructure team in Saskatoon SK. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design implementation and maintenance of virtualized environments using VMware as well as supporting and optimizing Windows server hosting solutions.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5 years of handson experience in VMware administration (vSphere ESXi vCenter).
  • Expertise in Windows VMware hosting environments including setup migration and performance tuning.
  • Strong experience with Windows Server environments 2016/2019/2022.
  • Experience with virtualization best practices high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Scripting skills using PowerShell or PowerCLI.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and storage technologies in virtual environments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

 

Nice to Have:

  • VMware certifications (e.g. VCPDCV).
  • Experience in hybrid cloud integrations (e.g. VMware Cloud on AWS Azure Stack).
  • Exposure to backup tools such as Veeam or Commvault.
