Job Description
The Castleford School District is looking for a School Counselor that is a professional responsible for supporting the academic socialemotional and personal development of students throughout their educational journey from kindergarten through 12th grade. Key Responsibilities will be:Academic Support Develop comprehensive academic counseling programs Assist students in course selection and academic planning Monitor student academic progress and intervention strategies Provide guidance on college and career readiness Conduct academic assessments and recommend appropriate educational pathwaysCounseling Support Address student mental health and wellness concerns Identify and support students with special emotional or behavioral needs Create safe and supportive environments for student communicationCollaboration and Advocacy Work closely with teachers administrators and parents Coordinate with special education departments Develop individualized support plans for students Implement prevention programs for bullying substance abuse and mental health Serve as a liaison between students families and school resourcesThe Castleford School District operates on a fourday schedule Tuesday through Friday.
