About Our Facility: Catalents FDAlicensed stateoftheart CGMP manufacturing facility for Gene Therapies is located on the Harmans/BWI campus in Baltimore Maryland. The campus featuring two manufacturing facilities supports Phase 3 through commercial manufacturing of advanced therapeutic products including Adenoassociated Virus (AAV) and other viral vectorbased therapies and vaccines.
Position Overview:The Associate III Manufacturing is responsible for supporting the overall cGMP upstream manufacturing process through the application of broad knowledge of theories and principles utilized to solve operational as well as routine tasks in the production of bulk biologics from microbial and cell culture systems for Phase I/II & commercial GMP manufacturing.
Position Schedule: This is a fulltime hourly position that requires 100 onsite presence. We have both AM and PM 12hour shifts 2 days on 2 days off 3 days on rotation).
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborates with Manufacturing Scientist and Technology (MS&T) and development groups to assist with techtransfer scaleup and translation activities.
Interfaces with Quality Assurance department to execute corrective actions / preventative actions.
Works on bioreactor operation and cell culture including aseptic technique.
Executes and monitors critical processes supporting mammalian microbial and fillfinish production.
Performs the preparation of small and large volume media and buffer solutions filtration and transfer of product.
Other duties as assigned.
The Candidate:
Bachelors degree in a technical discipline (e.g. biology biotechnology engineering) or related life science field with a minimum of 4 years related experience.
High School diploma or associates degree in a technical discipline (e.g. biology biotechnology engineering) or related life science field with a minimum of 5 years related experience.
Prior experience in cGMP upstream biopharmaceutical manufacturing highly preferred.
Prior experience with largescale centrifuges washers and autoclaves highly preferred.
Experience working in an aseptic environment highly preferred.
Proficient in MS Office and related PC skills.
Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this position in Maryland is$74080 to $101000 plus shift differential and annual bonus when eligible. The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job type and length of experience within the industry skillset education business needs etc. Catalent is a multistate employer and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
