Engineer Chennai
As an Infrastructure Engineer you will be responsible for maintain highly critical production and nonproduction environments catered across multiple data centers. You will be expected to function as part of highest level of technical support team and escalation for high severity Issues and requests related to Windows. You will take the role of Junior Windows Engineer in automated and general ESX environments primary running on UCS hardware.
The Infrastructure Engineer should have sufficient troubleshooting knowledge & experience in working with windows systems connected to SAN/NAS storage systems and production databases. Knowledge on ITIL process and other infrastructure components will be value added.
Responsibilities
- Be part of 24/7 support team and work as Windows system engineer.
- Independently Handle issues related to Windows OS ESX clusters & UCS H/W and fix them.
- Experience in managing monitoring & configuring Windows servers with different OS versions.
- Knowledge in Windows patch management
- Review the production environment regularly identify potential failures and propose the solutions to address them.
- Work closely with infrastructure application support and other groups to arrive at
- Permanent solutions to problem tickets and implement the identified solutions on Windows servers / ESX clusters.
- Work closely with the scrum development and infrastructure operations teams to support the automation of the infrastructure
Qualifications :
- 3 years equivalent handson experience in infrastructure engineering and administration
- Must have Advanced knowledge in navigating and troubleshooting Windows operating systems and ESX clusters on UCS platforms including VMware.
- Handson experience in enterprise infrastructure automation platforms such as PowerShell Python BASH etc. Certificate for any of the platform is a plus.
- Complete knowledge on change incident & problem management processes.
- Knowledge in enterprise infrastructure configuration tools like Ansible / Puppet
- Complete understand on how infra components like servers database network storage firewalls AD DNS monitoring etc. connect and corelate each other.
- Understand cloud technologies and infrastructure virtualization.
- Be flexible to attend workshops or trainings
- Have good verbal and written communication skills (English) in both technical and nontechnical communications
