Job Description

Our Bulk Collection Depots located in Sunbury and Craigieburn are the jewel in the crown in our range of collection solutions for Victorias West.

Our depots are thriving busy and are well loved by the communities they serve and those that work there. Our staff take great pride in ensuring our depots are accessible clean and that they are providing friendly customer service to whoever comes through our doors.

As a Recycling Centre Supervisor you will play a handson role in maintaining and overseeing the daytoday operations across both our recycling depots. To support you a vehicle will be provided as part of this role so providing a driver history report will be a necessary requirement as part of the background check process.

This role requires the successful candidate to work on a Saturday OR Sunday each week. 

Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Supervise and lead teams by providing ongoing mentoring coaching and support
  • Ensure maximum operational uptime and processing volumes through efficient management of operational team
  • Responsible for all depot WHS governance practices and improvements
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders
  • Work on the ground with team when work volume demands are high
  • Maintain a professional and clean work environment staff and customers
  • Troubleshoot with our Technician Team on machine issues
  • Compliance with TOMRA SAFE Standards and Guidelines

Qualifications :

What makes a great Recycling Depot Supervisor at TOMRA

  • Availability to work 5 days per week including 1 weekend day
  • A minimum of 35 years experience in a similar role
  • Tertiary qualification in Frontline Management or equivalent (preferred)
  • Excellent computer and systems skills
  • Ability to motivate and support employees through ongoing professional development
  • Customer focused and experienced with handling customer complaints
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong time management skills
  • Full Australian drivers licence A driver history report will be requested as part of our background check process
  • Prepared to undergo mandatory Police Check and attend a preemployment medical assessment to assess capability to perform the role requirements safely
