Position schedule: Sunday Thursday 3:00 pm 11:30 pm

Pay Range:
- Wages start at $17.50 and pay scale increases based on experience and licensure.
At The Refuge a Healing Place we specialize in unraveling the trauma story understanding the addiction/mental health disorder and creating a recovery story! We are a residential treatment center specializing in trauma treatment substance use disorders eating disorders PTSD and other mental health disorders.
Behavioral Health Associate III Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the work and activities of BHA staff including setting performance expectations in the daytoday operations of the department and under the direction of the Patient Support Manager.
- Provide guidance and direction to staff and encourage/build mutual trust respect and cooperation among team members.
- Oversee admissions and discharges
- Monitor physical and emotional wellbeing of clients and report unusual behavior or physical ailments to appropriate staff. Prepare and maintain records of progress and services performed.
- Encourage clients to participate in social recreational or other therapeutic activities that enhance interpersonal skills or develop social relationships and teach strategies to promote client wellness and independence.
- May provide transportation for clients as needed will need to successfully pass a motor vehicle screening.
- Ensure the wellbeing of clients and provide a positive supportive and structured environment under direction of the patient support manager.
- Client safety is addressed through required rounds completed timely.
- Applies deescalation techniques to help manage clients emotions behavior and participation in treatment.
- Provide safety and increase coping skills or clients and assist in developing strategies for helping clients to be as independent as possible.
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements
- HS Diploma and/or GED required
- Two or more years experience in mental health required
- One or more years experience as a lead or previous supervisory experience required
- CPR required
