1.0 ELEMENTARY TEACHER JOB POSTING
The Xaxtsa Community School is seeking a creative dynamic and innovative fulltime Intermediate Teacher who is eager and keen to work in a rural Band operated school that is evolving. The school is operated by Douglas First Nation which has a population of 120 people Tipella BC is 96km from Pemberton BC and is accessible by the InSHUCKch Forest Service Road. Highlighted by some of the most scenic mountains and the Harrison and Little Harrison Lake Tipella BC is by the spectacular Sloquet Hot Springs and offers an endless array of activities including hiking hunting fishing and various water activities on the lake.
The Xaxtsa Community School has 20 students from K5 to Grade 7 with 1 teacher/principal 2 teaching staff two Educational Assistants a Cultural/Language Teacher custodian and receptionist. Our goal is to continue expanding so that all our students can be educated right in the community.
