Job Title:Sales and Marketing Student Placement 2025/26
Location: Hazelwood Derbyshire UK
Job type: FTC 1 Year for length of placement year Starting in Summer 2025
Type of role: Hybrid from Hazelwood site
At Lubrizol we have a vibrant student community in the UK across various roles and departments.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in both marketing and sales activities within a thriving business to business environment working cross functionally within account management and product marketing support.
What you will be doing:
- Provide support for customer visits presentations training and commercial support for the account managers.
- Involvement in the annual plan input to commercial team for assigned accounts.
- Support the regional sales team to drive activity necessary to execute growth targets and achieve the annual sales plan
- Support the account managers to develop communicate and implement the regional product line strategy.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams such as strategic marketing R&D sales procurement supply chain and operations Collaborate with Operations Procurement and Supply Chain
- Support the implementation of marketing plans to generate awareness and demand for the products.
- Provide timely technical services to sales and customers by working with the Technology deployment team
- Assistance with volume forecasts for the European region.
- Support with the development market management information (product pricing promotion) to assist with the Price/volume decision making
- Involvement in the product positioning activities in support of customers business plan
- Assist the Marketing group to develop market communications internal communications and all promotional programs for the region
- Support in actively collecting information to build strategic account plans to grow customer business and overall market share.

What you will need:
- Studying towards business related degree including a year in industry achieving a 2:1 or above.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and appropriately manage priorities whilst completing work within target dates
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages and related common business software
- Keen interest in commercial aspects of business along with an enthusiasm for building collaborative relationships
