The Opportunity
WSDOT has an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced engineering professional who has exceptional leadership skills to serve as the Engineering Manager in Union Gap WA. This position works strategically with the Assistant Regional Administrator for Construction to accomplish the WSDOT mission and achieve the Departments twoyear biennial plans the sixyear Transportation Improvement Plan and ultimately the 20year transportation plan in the South Central Region (SCR). The Engineering Manager for Construction utilizes advanced management principles and expertise to manage and integrate the work of multiple organizational unit managers. The selected individual will be responsible for ensuring projects are developed advertised and administered to meet Federal and State laws legislative commitments and engineering principles for on time and on budget delivery of I & P programs. The Engineering Manager will support the mission of WSDOT by ensuring the traveling publics safety through wellplanned and executed transportation projects.
What to Expect
This position provides leadership and vision for the organizations effective project delivery by supervising three ProjectEngineers with offices that range in size from 1540 employees. The highest level supervised are the three WMS3Project Engineers.

Important Notes
This position requires a Professional Engineers License issued by the State of Washington. License holders from other states will be expected to obtain a WA State PE license within six 6 months of appointment.
This position offers flexible/hybrid remote work options.
In addition to base salary employees may be entitled to other forms of compensation depending on the type duties or location of the position. For unionrepresented positions more information on other forms of compensation can be found in the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreements. Information on other compensation types for nonrepresented positions can be found in Chapter 35728 of the Washington Administrative Code.
