Job Description

Pendleton School Districtis looking for dynamic energetic Language Arts (ELA) teacher(s) for theschool year!

Job would entail educating students in the areas of literacy basic reading vocabulary writing and speech who have specific skill needs. Must be able to ensure students learn and develop a solid understanding of the English language and the necessary attributes of quality writing. Applicant needs to be familiar with Common Core State Standards. Must also be knowledgeable of what a Professional Learning Community is and how to be an effective team member. Will be required to teach 612th grade skills classes focused on students instructional needs in addition to core English Language Arts classes.

Duties include:

Collaborate with special education teachers to deliver specially designed instruction

Working as a PLC team to write common assessments scope and sequences etc.

Accurate and punctual posting of assignments and grades.

Use of vocabulary literacy and writing across the curriculum.

Technology expertise in the following: Google docs iPad Edmodo etc. would be great!

Certification:

Must hold appropriate Oregon Teaching License to be a Highly Qualified teacher of English/Language Arts grades 68 and/or912. ESOL endorsement preferred. Preference also given to candidates willing to pursue a special education endorsement.
