Job Description

Newport School District is seeking a supportive and dependable Instructional Aideto assist in the delivery of instruction for high school students enrolled in the Summer Credit Recovery Program. This role provides classroom and individual support to students working to recover academic credits in core subjects such as Math English Science and Social Responsibilities:Support classroom teachers by assisting students with assignments technology use and with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning and promote in maintaining a positive safe and focused learning student progress and communicate observations to the supervising with classroom setup materials preparation and technology students during transitions and all program guidelines school policies and safety :High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree or paraprofessional certification working with adolescents in an educational or youth services with basic academic support across to take direction work collaboratively with staff and support a diverse group of interpersonal skills and a calm encouraging demeanor.
